Sometimes, you want a white background instead of the standard "green-screen." By Sam Lennon By default, iSeries Access is "green-screen," green text on a black background. But there are times when a white background is desirable. This tip walks you through setting up a "reverse-image" session definition where the background is white. |

IBM has made it incredibly easy to order PTFs, unless you're the Slowskis. I love the IBM download process at Fix Central. Once I got all my entitlement stuff straightened out, I've since had no problems ordering PTFs and groups and cumes. My only problem is that I don't happen to have a 5MB Internet connection. In fact, I have a 384KB SDSL connection, and even that doesn't always kick in at much more than about 30K bytes per second. This wouldn't be a problem except that my last PTF order (cume and groups) was 3.6GB in size, as you can see in Figure 1. |

What is QIBM_QDC_VRYEXIT, and why do I care? As a bit of background information, an exit point is a specific point in a system function or program where control can be passed to installation-specified programs. These programs are called "exit programs" because they provide an exit from the normal processing of the system function or program. The exit programs are typically programs created by users. |
